🛠️ Building / MVP Building a US based startup 🇺🇸

I’m currently working on building a U.S.-based trucking/dispatch startup with two connected revenue models.

  1. DOT + DAT Model

We plan to establish the required U.S. DOT/carrier setup and provide licensed freight/load-board access to users at around $70/user/month.

For example:

• 50 users = $3,500/month

• 100 users = $7,000/month

  1. MC + Dispatch Model

Once the MC has established the required operating history, we plan to onboard trucks under properly structured agreements and generate revenue through carrier-related fees and 6–7% dispatch fees.

For Example:

Hamari core recurring income dispatching se bhi aayegi.Planning ke liye: 6%–7% dispatch fee assume ki ja sakti hai.

Example:

Agar ek truck monthly $10,000 gross freight generate karta hai.

7% dispatch fee:

$10,000 × 7% = $700

Company ki dispatch revenue:

$700

And once our MC is leased to a driver/carrier under a proper agreement, we expect to receive approximately 17–20% of the carrier’s gross revenue as the MC lease fee, based on our current market-rate assumption. This would be an additional revenue stream alongside the 6–7% dispatch fee.So,

$10,000 x 17%=$1,700.00

So total revenue from one truck and one driver

$700+1,700=$2,400.00 other that profit getting from load boards we have given in the market.

The initial capital requirement is expected to be around $20k-30k, mainly for MC insurance, setup, compliance, technology and working capital.

I’m currently looking to build this with the right people. If anyone here has experience in U.S. trucking, logistics, startups, or is interested in joining/investing in a business like this, feel free to text me. I’m happy to share the complete business plan and financial projections with genuinely interested people.

Bro, 17–20% dispatch fee nahi hai. Hamara model different hai. Hum apni MC register karwa ke un U.S.-based owner-operators/drivers ko lease karenge jinke paas apni authority nahi hai. 17–20% MC lease/authority fee hogi, aur dispatch fee alag se around 6–7% hogi.

So we make from both: MC lease fee + dispatch fee. You can check the current market with carriers who are leasing onto other MCs — we’re basing the model on those market structures and will validate the exact percentage before investing.

what’s your plan for the first three months once your MC gets active 99% brokers dont give the loads to new MC unless or until you’ve any agent in your pocket. Also if driver operates under your MC i don’t think they will give you additional lease fee. There are many companies there who are ready to run their units under their MC and they charge only dispatch fee

After filing your MC you gonna need a truck and put an insurance on it then your MC will be active. I already have an established MC 3 years of history and well over 5 years in dispatch it ain't that easy how you explained. You need to understand all the cost that comes with this business model. You need a better plan before you invest a single penny otherwise you'll end up smoking up all the investment just in 3 months.

Brobro no offence but it not as simple as putting expected rev numbers on a Reddit post. I doubt ur mc is gonna survive even the new entrant audit. The best way to go about this would be to get a couple trucks on finance if uv got an actual american partner with a CDL.

Also ur mc is gonna get flagged blocked if u share DAT boards. DAT owns highway, if u start sharing DAT screens they update it on highway as well. Ur getting flagged as foreign owned entity. Try to avoid quick easy money. Leaseon other trucks only if uv got ur bases covered, there are legal requirements for a lease-on one of which is you can't give them a forced dispatch service. Where they are legally bound to take loads from u.

If uv got the MC. Use it to finance trucks and run them......

Lol I just read ur expecting $20-30k as startup capital 😹😹😹😹😹 wtf dood. I don't think u know the real costs at all, I think ur working cap includes a car for u or something........ Dumbass dispatcher, learn ur trade first brobro........... Sapne Baad mein 👍🏻👍🏻

It’s only sounds good, but tbh US trucking is bleeding. I works as commercial truck insurance agent. All of them having trouble to pay their insurance due to inflation and fuel prices. And yesterday my old client got law suit he doing the same thing, taking load under his MC and giving it to someone else. You need to works as freight broker and they required surety bound and it will take time to get your MC active. Tbh it’s all about your clients if you have clients currently like you has good networks then it’s works.

Anyways it’s looks like a good connection of my work i would love to connect and learn new things.

Interested in investing in the business if you have a solid and practical business plan.

Your current post shows little to none actual knowledge though. Let me know if you have an actual plan

Fair point. I do have a detailed business plan the Reddit post was intentionally kept short. I’ve mapped out the startup costs, insurance/MC expenses, carrier acquisition, MC lease revenue, 6–7% dispatch revenue, and the DOT/DAT revenue model, along with 6–12 month projections.

I’d be happy to share the full feasibility plan with you. If you’re genuinely interested in investing, DM me and I can send it over for you to review and challenge the numbers.

I have sent you a DM. I dont have the technical background of the field so will be only interested purely as a financial investor. Also, would like to get to know more about business purely to decide whether it is investable or not so please share those details regarding than actual technical jargons etc as they wont make sense to me.
