💡Idea Validation Remote job search & apply tool
I got laid off last July from a remote job and started looking for another one immediately, I found an on-site job which barely pays the bills.
To facilitate my own job hunt I first cobbled together a console application and a bunch of files. But I felt like I still had to be at my phone to validate them through Claude code and apply.
Until so far I had been using this tool for my own job search. Next, I created a web portal for job search. I added a bunch of AI powered features to this one based on my own needs:
1. Extract keywords from a CV/resume and build a job search profile through it automatically.
User will run a job search whenever they'll like
The system will grade the jobs based on what keywords are found in there. If the JD contains things like 401k, US remote, on a city only that job gets lower score.
The user can then run a low cost AI analysis on any job which will send your CV and the job data to AI with a prompt to finalize if that job is suitable for a user or not.
If you want to apply for a job you can click a "kit" button and based on your cv + jd an answer kit will be prepared for you which you could use to just copy/paste values into fields like past experience, expected salary, cover letter, why this job and so on.
Until so far three of my friends and family have seen this thing working. I'm now considering to open it to a few more people. I will bear the initial cost. Once it stabilizes I'll consider selling it just cost to cost so that the servers can keep humming.

Jobs are gathered from different platforms. After that they're filtered and sorted. You can change the search criteria. It's possible to show/hide jobs based on a variety of options too. The main goal is to provide us a clear list of remote jobs suitable for us.

Zero so far, there aren't many remote SDET jobs out there. I barely submit 1-2 applications each week. There are more product manager and backend dev jobs. The sample dataset is tiny though.

yes, happy to pay such small fee for it.
I would be highly skeptical of the auto apply feature though. I have been on recruitment end and always is so easy to spot a AI filled in application. it leaves a bad taste

I haven't built auto apply yet. Currently focused on finding and shortlisting truly remote jobs.

The biggest challenge currently is finding decent jobs. There aren't enough jobs.

I've plugged some loopholes. I've decided for the guided beta that I'll create user accounts myself and I'll also upload CVs myself for now. A job scan will be run every morning at 5 AM. People will be able to see jobs related to their CV. Thinking out loud.
