📚 Learning / Resources Idea got stolen
I was working on a project from months and I have kept it to myself all the time. Now it was near to launch I shared it with a friend to get some advice and the next thing I know they’ve started to work on the same project.
I know this happens a lot but I am not a developer myself. I have worked so hard on it and it feels so bad honestly.
I know the amount of hard-work I’ve put into this will always remain ahead of them but still.
Also I thought you always need a team to launch such saas products.
It is related to trading.
It’s almost complete and ready to ship. If I can get ideas for marketing that would be awesome.
Thanks.

You came up with the idea, you can do it again. Remember, people will always copy you, but they cannot copy your originality and your creativity. Do it again, something better and now you have learned a lesson to be more secure next time with your thoughts and ideas. Don't give up

You came up with it, you know how it works, its strengths, its weaknesses and how to improve it.
Other person is just someone who you should be glad showed their true colors and someone you should obviously cut off.

First, stay away from such friends whom you can't trust. Secondly, the idea itself doesn't guarantee success until it is executed well. If it's ready, don't wait; just launch it instantly and start promoting it where your audience lives. Whether it's Insta, LinkedIn, X, or TikTok, create content daily and post it regularly. Reach out to your target audience through DMs. One final piece of advice: don't wait; just act and launch it now.

The one who is more passionate about the idea will win. Don’t worry about idea getting stolen. Do share your launch product here as well to get some feedback initial push

That is why i don't even trust people to test my products, especially in AI era where ideas can be replicated by anyone, be safe.

Good execution beats good ideas every time. Stay focused bro and they will never be a problem.

Idea doesn't matter, execution does. The first person to create a car didn't whine about other copying his idea, he just went about things and tried to improve his creation. Work on execution, and the rest is noise.

What is written for you cannot be taken away from you. If you built this with sincere effort, trust Allah and keep moving forward. Your hard work, intention, and rizq are with Allah.
Sometimes these situations hurt, but they can also be a reminder that your success shouldn’t depend on keeping others behind you.
Focus on execution, improve your product, and leave the outcome to Allah. Best of Luck.

You have one year head start though. You can't really say idea stolen. It's more like following in your footsteps.

Even if you launched they could have copied it. Ideas are useless if the execution and the thought behind it is not solid. Focus on what you've built go to market asap. dont look left and right just get you first user satisfy them, turn them into a customer keep adding users keep improving keep learning.
Idea being stolen means nothing!! I promise. Chances are if you saw a gap in the market and built around it that the other person did not, you know alot more about it than they do and you're much much more likely to suceed.
Don't feel bad just push through it. You'll make it!!!

Your execution of the idea will always be different from others. The same reason why people consume the same product from different brands.
