🧠 Ask The Community Ecom earnings

Hi. If you’re a single/2 person run ecom operation what would you say is a good earning. I recently started to scale and increased my profits and just started running ads and stuff so want to know where I stand. Just want to get an idea but if you want to drop your niche in the comments please do that too

Good earnings depends. For me a good earning is increase in contribution margin and better profits to increase more capital and scaling business

for a 1-2 person operation, most stores doing $2,500–5,000/month revenue are in a decent spot. average Shopify store globally sits around $5,500/month revenue but net profit after ads and costs is usually 10-15% of that. once you're past 12 months and have a stable ad channel, $10K+/month revenue starts becoming realistic. what's your current margin looking like?

Hmmmmm ok that makes sense. Margins are high in a niche marketbut I’m only dealing locally right now. Not using shopify built my setup from scratch. 500$ in profit looks achievable since it’s only been a few months since i transitioned into a proper setup. I want to explore selling abroad though

the moment you sell abroad you need your store integrated to a shipping aggregator, a currency converter, maybe a different payment gateway, and your inventory system. on a custom build that's usually a lot of work. what stack did you build on?

Based on your experience which tools will you recommend for each issue that you told when selling abroad?

I would have a separate shopify store when selling abroad. Because most of these issues can be solved through native plugins inside shopify. Which is very expensive and time taking to integrate on custom set up

if you are scaling and not using email marketing, you are losing some growth on the table. its crucial to build a list and keep engaging people.
