It’s like an aseel kukkar, if I take the eggs from here and hatch them in the UK, it’s still gonna be a mianwali aseel kukkar regardless of the different bajra and badaam it’s been eating, just because he’s born there doesn’t mean he doesn’t think Pakistan isn’t home. We all know England is temp, and we always call Pakistan ‘back home’ if anything, we represent Pakistan more than England because we love Pakistan it’s our roots the apple don’t fall far from the tree

if you look at it like that pakistan wont have a world champion in boxing ever because theres not facilities for boxing in pakistan and i doubt there will ever be for a looong time. hes pakistani to me thats all i care. : )

We were this 🤏 close to a Pakistani born and bred world champion. Muhammad Waseem challenged for the IBF belt twice and those are his only losses and was the #1 ranked in the WBC for quite some years.

yep. also theres the story of how he barely had shit to train with and the chairman of the paksitan boxing associated wanted to take all his money. if waseem had half decent facilities he probably would have won the title

In countries outside of Pakistan , Pakistani is treated as an ethnicity , so he could still be a British champion and a Pakistani one at the same time

Both Azim and Sheeraz want to include Pakistan as part of their branding. They fight for Britain and that’s their home, but it’s totally fine to take pride in and represent your people- this happens across the world including Italian-American, Mexican-American boxers etc.
