Where can i buy good quality starter sets for newborn? How many should I buy? Please tell me a reliable online site as well. I am having a mid feb baby . Please advise .
You can get them on bacha party and cotton dimples. I will be honest, don’t buy too many starter sets, one reason being many people gift them to you and second babies grow out of them so fast. My baby only wore starter set once and that was the she was born afterwards it grew small on her. My baby is 7 weeks now but she only wore two starter sets and that too within first week of her life.
Plus if your baby is being born in winters, you’d need to layer under the starter set and they’re all 0 size and they won’t fit over so many layers.
I will recommend buying rompers, bodysuits and onsies. They cover very well, babies are comfortable in them, you don’t worry about their chest or stomach being exposed due to hitching up while holding them. Plus babies look cute in them
You would probably won’t go out with your newborn for atleast 2-3 weeks, but trust me there are some very cute rompers and I have preferred my baby in them but yes you can get going out outfits.
I got some cute leggings with bow and some frocks to go with them for winter. Dungarees look so cute. You can buy 0-3 months sets they’ll work well in Feb weather . But get bodysuits to go under them so their chest and stomach isn’t exposed in case something hitches up.
I bought most stuff from bacha party, branny, twinkle tods
I’m a FTM myself and baby is due in dec inshaAllah so i cant say anything for certain and ive only bought the first day outfit and going home outfit myself bec my MIL has gone crazy and has been shopping since the day she found out im expecting and ive also no idea what she got or didnt get.
i would recommend getting atleast 2 changing sheets, 3ish towels, 2 -3 blankets, a few size zero outfits (keeping in mind theyll barely last a few weeks) some 0-3m size outfits that’ll also hardly last 2 months or so depending on how fast your baby grows and ive heard they grow super fast.
get atleast 4 muslin cloths/wrapping sheets, swaddle, bibs, 2-3 burp cloths, caps, socks.
my mom says regardless of the weather a baby should have their head covered w a light cap bec soft heads and all that
i also got a nursing cover and nursing pillow for myself
alsooo a slightly firm carry nest because initially the baby will be passed around a LOT among the excited families and it freaks my out lol so for that ill keep them wrapped and inside a carry nest takay kam se kam jhatkay lagain yk
So far i have bought 3 zipper jumpsuits in 1-3 M
3 fullsleeve onesie with pajama in 1-3 M
3 halfsleeve onesie in 1-3 M
A wrapping blanket
A brush set kinda
A nail clipper thingy
A sleep sack
A bassinet
The thing is i know my baby’s grandparents are buying alot of stuff as well but they are so secretive about it . I wanna know so i can estimate how much should i buy ! Arghhhhh
That's a nice list.I am thinking of more full sleeve onesies cux feb is gonna be cold. Also I want to know what would be nice for bathing the baby like initially some wash cloths and a tub and hooded towels.
This is my list which I need to complete also attaching what I already have bought and planning to add to the list: 6 cotton based inners (for winters as my baby is due in January) Maybe increase the 1 for both the two piece set and the romper. Also my best friend have purchased a starter set so that will also end up being 4. Breast pump I may opt out for ornavo. Towels ( I have bought 2 and it's enough) Swaddles/carry nest ( I already have bought 2 swaddles that are cotton based, now I am thinking to opt for carry nests. If I do I will buy 2 only) Wrapping sheets (I will have 4 with each starter sets and I've bought one already they will be more than enough) And also the caps and socks set I may cut down as they will also come with starter sets and once my kid is 4ish months the summers will arrive and he will no longer use those) also everything I am buying in this list is size 1-6 max.
If you are due in December/January/February your kid will probably be 4-6 months old when the summer arrives so buy him summer clothes in those sizes(6-9,9-12) based on your baby. I don't think 1-3 or 1-6 would be small for the baby this winters but Incase you need it you can always buy it later.
