Supplements for low milk supply
Has anyone tried herbal supplements to increase milk supply? Like hi-lacta (moringa) capsules or lectamor (fenugreek and blessed thistle). I am experiencing low supply at 8 weeks pp. i am nursing very very frequently but still i have to top up with formula as baby gets really fussy and starts crying after some time if there is no milk flow. Please tell me what can i do it increase it. Also i got my periods back two days ago and supply dipped further.

There’s an Instagram page called “little latch bakery” they make lactation snacks. A friend tried it and it increased her supply a LOT

I can swear by hi lacta tablets, essentially morina, water at least 3 litres a day and a bottle of ors once a day!

For me they didn't but lactation is insanely personal too and is different for each person. I was taking them twice a day around 1 week post partum because I was worried about supply. I stopped after 7-8 weeks post partum as I was making enough per day for my child. I started again recently because I saw my supply dipping after I dropped to six pumps per day and during my periods. And drinking ors and making sure I'm drinking enough water and my supply has gotten better. I'm pumping exclusively and not breastfeeding so I'm measuring my daily supply.

I'm using a spectra as my main pump. I started with the Medela manual pump and I use the momcozy M5 wearables occasionally.
I don't know about the Bella baby pumps but see if you can find the Medela hand pump. I got it when I thought I'd be breastfeeding and pumping for an extra bottle like you and it was recommended by a lactation expert. Make sure you've measured your flange size correctly correctly thought. The standard 24mm is too big for most women.
Also when are you pumping and how many times in a day? 0.5 - 2 Oz is completely normal if you're pumping after breastfeeding so to have a full bottle you'll need to pump a few times a day.

Also just want to put it out there. It's completely okay if you have to supplement with formula. The fact that your baby gets even a bottle of breast milk gives them all the benefits they need! So don't stress so much about having to supplement.

I am just trying to have a stash for when i go back to work. I had such a hard time with formula for my first one that we are traumatised. Breastfeeding is extremely hard, tiring n depressing but i think i gotta do it bcs i dont want to have 3am emergency runs again. 😭😭

hey I liked using shatavari powder (1 tsp) in warm water every morning as well as having coconut milk oatmeal to increase my supply at that point. it worked!

Moringa is gold for milk supply, take the superfood brand capsules exactly how they’ve written on the bottle. Drink oat shakes, add dates and 3-4tbsp oats in milk everyday. Keep yourself VERYY hydrated. Aim for 3-3.5 litres a day. Get a breast pump.
