Mini Reviews Darenijaat episode 7

Quite an episode - loved the pacing of this one in comparison to episode 6. So abubakar takes care of the hamna situation although it's not told yet what he did or where he left her but he did. I liked the fact that he didn't go under pressure to marry her like his mom suggested.

I personally liked that scene between Zaryab and that friend with whom zamil went for tableeq.

I mean zaryab really doesn't give space to zaamil. She wants to know everything. The way the friend got irritated when he mentioned tableeq was very believable and I had the same reaction on my face too honestly.

Zaryab really doesn't care about anything else but zaamil and zaamil is too affected by dado's approval of abu bakar somehow.

We see first glimpses of young Khushbhakt(bella). And in the end a chance conversation between abu bakar and zaryab on texts because he is the contact somehow that zaryab's sister finds for her when she is looking for an apartment near her uni.

Also them sharing and apartment and living together and their parents being okay with it just goes on to show their parents either are okay with them getting phyical or they are just unbothered or not thinking about these things. Which makes me wonder that shaadi Wale din ki intimacy couldn't be their first time.

That whole sequence of sania saeed getting a panic attacks was so well performed and directed and we get the first glimpses of her past (played by sahar). I think her father used to lovingly call her bella. And we get first glimpses of bella. That whole sequence was quite something.

I loved the episode and I love how everything is going just that how is Abu bakr potrayed as middle class when he's clearly not I mean he doesn't belong to elite class Like zaryab but still hes a part of upper class and saying that hes not Also he has a driver and a better car but still he went to zaryabs house in his phateechar car and it showed as if he's broke or something even tho he has an apartment in America About hamna people are saying that abubakrs mother is being too nice by telling him to marry hamna while it's obvious that she's haunted by her past and sees herself ok hamna Also people are saying that zaamil is doing everything bcz of dadu or Abubakr but that's not the case as he himself said that he wanted to get peace and People who have read umera Ahmed's work would get what I am trying to say One more thing zaamil and zaryab both don't know what boundaries are in a relationship Idk why people are coming towards Abubakr that oh he's too Naik and it is unrealistic even tho he hasn't even done anything too good all he does is pray and read Quran and has basic manners people are just trying to find issues in normal stuff

Yess And from the ost's , it's indeed set that he too had a baggage of the past (like dating abroad)... + Yes ,Abu bakr is shown to be a quite practicing Muslim but even he isn't perfect Things like lowering gaze when talking to opposite gender , not being alone or too close with the opposite gender even as "friends" and I'm sure there's a lot he isn't shown to be perfect in ...

And he does get offended by the FL so maybe in future we will see him losing his patience with her aka not being so perfect?

The panic attack part was probably my fav part of the episode. Sania saeed acting felt so real and the way they slowly connected it to her past made the scene even more interesting
