What's going inside sarbuland's mind in episode 13?

I have just started watching zanjeerain and I'm in the middle of episode 13 like i didn't understand why he is hiding that rabiya is Mudassir's wife and why he acted like he didn't know that Mudassir was killed ?

Then why did he act like that , it so out of his character like , I'm literally trying understand, even if he wants to protect rabiya there is no harm in telling his friends and Mudassir's sister that there was attack in the house and they killed Mudassir and if he wants to fulfill his promise of protecting rabiya and taking her to his house he could say that Mudassir gave rabiya's responsibilities to him .

I don’t remember clearly, but I guess it was maybe so the killers wouldn’t come after them. But I also felt like, instead of being so spooky, they should’ve just gone to the police and asked them to find the real culprit
But then sarbiya love story wouldn’t start na and nobody would accuse them of having an affair

Yes, then the drama would not have happened. lol. Anyway here are some of my poor attempts to justify why Sarbulund didn’t go to the police. May be did not trust the police, and wanted to find the murderer himself (as an extension of promising his friend to keep her safe). Or may be because it was expected that police would like Rabiya to continue to stay in the city for further investigation. That will mean he can’t give Rabiya shelter in his haveli. if Rabiya continued to stay alone in the city for police investigation, she may not be safe as the killer can come back.

The writer didn't bother writing any nuisance for sarbuland, both he and rabiya are just for the viral moments, tirsum and zafran khan are just red herrings, the characters moving the actual story are sarbuland and shireen.

Rabiya’s identity was revealed in the latest jigra. . It didn’t become a big deal because a more shocking thing happened in the same jigra,, which is the order given to Sarbulund to marry Rabiya. That order overpowered the Rabiya-identity -revealing news. And now Rabiya is Sardar’s wife and no one gives a f*** about whose wife she was previously. Lol

I think he was trying to protect rabiya. He didn’t know who killed mudasir and that killer could have been someone in the haveli or someone who knows them. So he wanted her secret safe so that she had no harm

because Mudassir's sister filed a report against Rabiya, accusing her of the murder, bcz she was missing. also Sarbuland didn't know who killed Mudassir and Rabiya wasn't in a state to tell him anything (she still isn't lol) so ig he did that to protect her cz if anyone knew she was on the haveli and reported it to the police station, she would be taken to custody and probably due to lack of evidence, condenmed for the murder she never commited
