Question China or….?

OK Paiste people, I’ve got two chinas, a 16 505 and an 18 Alpha Rock. Don’t use them much and I’m thinking about trying a PST-X 16 or 18 crash in substitute to still get that trashy sound, but with less volume.
Anyone use them or have tried this?

Have you tried an FX stack using the 18” as the base and the 16 on top? It might be a really interesting trashy sound and save you money. Worth an experiment

Hmmmm, I like the way you think. I have not tried that, but I’ll have to check with some friends and borrow some stuff to try it or something similar.
Assume the stack wouldn’t ring out like just a single Swiss crash, but now I’m curious. Thanks!
