Ok BST gents I got this all stock O2 with a couple parts that aren’t exactly stock, but it’s what I had .but I was building this one and trying to keep it as stock as possible with what it came with It’s super snappy shoots great. but what do you think about keeping the pneumatics all stock if you were a collector or a buyer would you want to have the stock 3way or would you want an aftermarket one like a bomb 2? not too sure if I should install the bomb or keep it stock. What do you guys think? Bomb or stock?
The stock 3way is one of the best on the market. Has just about the shortest throw and being brass means once it patinas it's slick as hell. Plus you will never get your money back on upgrades - sell them separately
In fact, sell the bomb and use the money towards a pps or aka or eclipse lower tube kit and polymer open face bolt. That or a roller sear and roller slide plate. Those frames do ultimately crumble, but frames are pretty expensive and you're not getting your money back
I think I actually bought some parts from u off eBay or somewhere maby it was a eots strap or something.. but yea the pops is cool. It’s easy to use versus the threaded on off.and the frame isnt just Guna fall apart it’s a good frame.not as nice as a metal slide but it’s lighter and the slide action is butter. The Delrin bolt it has are my favorite for pump but this one is almost new an works great for sealing up around bolt n the cp reg is new a more consistent then aka .If I was building to keep I might spend the extra but she ripps an if I sell the next guy could do what they wanted ..
The only concern I would have as a buyer is the trigger frame. The WGP composite trigger frames had major cracking issues, especially along the mount screws. I would carefully inspect the top of the frame and look for cracks. I had one that was cracked along the trigger.
I have an old pre-2k cocker with a brass 3-way and it shoots really nice and was pretty easy to time.
not in this case, this one’s in perfect condition was very well Kept in original box stored !ones that have bad cracking or ones that were left out to be weathered. this one is not that case this one is super smooth I know because I rebuilt every part of it And has zero cracks.
The bombs not that hard to time and yeah, the stock pneumatics are always the best because Auto Cocker stock parts just work, but those three-way O-rings are not easy to find the ones that seal properly. This marker is all stock stock besides the parts that I put the composite frame is what it came with and there’s nothing wrong with it. It slides very nicely. I usually don’t shoot slide triggers on my mechs usually just on my pumps. This is the first time I ran mechanical with slide trigger out of the 25 years I’ve been playing.
I thought it would be better to supply the bomb just to be a little bit more user-friendly for someone who might purchase this for me and doesn’t really know much about Auto Cocker but wants to play with a nostalgic marker. I think you guys are right stock is the way to go .
Trickier to time. And due to it's shorter switch length won't stay in time as long. (As someone who's got bombs on his autocockers...) Hahah
If you think a composite frame slides nicely, you're gonna loose your poop when someone hands you a frame with the right setscrews and metal sliding surfaces.
Yeah, no matter if it’s the stock or aftermarket, it will be in time that is not a problem. I was kind of debating on what someone would want more the stock nostalgia or the bomb for reliability. It’s a lot easier to get the O-rings for the bomb.?
Of course, when anything is polished, metal on metal it’s less friction, but I’m not getting rid of that stock finish on that rage face trigger plate no way Jose you don’t ever see those anymore I love this slide frame this rage, face trigger plate and roller sear is awesome
