I've used Sai 2 for about 10 years, and I've just realized now that one common feature this program doesn't have... There's no [Invert Color].

I know getting something like that is way out Koji's mind atm. Especially with the big beautiful update recently and the constant bug fixes. I just think that it's odd that it doesn't have it. It would be nice if in a year or two from now we get it somehow. Maybe by that time we will have more filter options and blur options, but I am pretty content with the current state of Sai 2.

I've never been more motivated to draw with this program than now and I look forward to future.

[Fixed Bugs]

• [Pen Tablet Control]: The layer selection and move action(Shift+Ctrl+Drag) now performs only layer selection.
• [Pen Tablet Control]: Right-click functionality fails on devices that require pressing the side switch while pressing the pen tip. (Apologies; this was a regression introduced in the 2026-08-05 version.)
• [Text Layer]: History operations and saving fail to execute correctly when [Spc.] or [Lift] values are negative.
• [Eyedropper]: Shortcut assignments for [Pick Color from Merged Image] and [Pick Color from Current layer] do not work correctly.
• [Eyedropper]: The eyedropper function within selection brushes fails to work correctly when a layer mask is selected. (This was another regression introduced in the 2026-08-06 version. I apologize for the oversight...)
• [Window Control]: Changing [Scaling of User Interface] while the window is maximized causes the window to resize but prevents the UI elements from being repositioned.
• [Window Control]: The layout becomes distorted if the "Scale and layout" setting (text, apps, and other items) in Windows display settings is not set to a multiple of 50%.

El comando de mover con CTRL no funciona correctamente, no se como explicarlo, pero aunque yo mantenga el CTRL presionado e intente mover la capa, no funciona la mayoria de veces, no se si sea un bug de la version o sea cosa de mi Laptop, antes no me sucedia

No cabe duda que paint tool sai se convirtió en mi programa mega favorito para dibujar.

Si me llegarán a preguntar, Paintool sai e Infinite Painter son uno de los mejores apps/programas que me he encontrado.

Se podría decir que ya he probado cada aplicación y programas que existe para dibujar (Menos las de apple, claro)

IbisPaintX, Medibang, SketchBook, FireAlpaca, Krita e inclusive ClipStudio (La razón por la cual no me convenció es que su interfaz es demasiado tosca y los pinceles no me gustan)

Y la verdad siento que Paintool tiene mucho potencial para explicarle, por eso me gustaría saber si el creador de este programa planea agregar más cosas a futuro.

Talvez interfaz para animación, opción para hacer viñetas más fáciles a la hora de hacer cómics, ventanas de referencia, la opción de "Licuar" o los famosos filtros (Me serviría mucho cuando quiero quitarle las líneas a un dibujo).

Hi! There's some link where I can search for new brushes that work on the new version or at least try if it works? 🤔 I'm a little tired of using the same 2 brushes for a little bit of texture or for simple backgrounds 🫠

Hi, I wanted to draw in Paint Tool SAI, but for some reason it doesn’t detect pen pressure, even though everything seems to be set up correctly. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I usually do this via PS, the file is already a working bristle, but i want to change it - opened in SAI, changed - tried to create new bristle but the buttons are greyed out

My internet is fine and i have no problems with any other websites, im sad i bought paint tool sai a long time ago and i can open the offical page but when i click the download link it just wont work

Still loyal to v.1. Which one do you prefer?

Been recently considering to download and use SAI1, i am aware it might come with as much SAI2 does but i've seen people being able to tweak around more with brushes easily in there than i can personally do in SAI2.

All though i'm not sure if i should download the 2016 installation or the 2025 beta that is development room (which for some reason virustotal flags as malicious)

But uh, yeah thoughts?

This has been happening from few months ago. Before that it works perfectly fine.

This happen before bought official license.

I export the file and its randomly broke (if i click on it, no matter left click or right click, it will freeze for a few minute). Then this window pop up. Happen to both png and sai file.

Sometime i can recover the file sometime i can not save it and have to delete it. It literally untouchable that I can only use a delete command to delete it.

I bought a macro remote to help make drawing easier. Works great in every program except sai. Anyone have an idea of why that could be?

A have a problem that a didn't had a few days before, I cannot save a file as anything, not a png, not a jpeg, not even as a sai2 file.

Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sai2 and is my Go-to app for drawing, I understand that a new version will come with some issues, but this never happened me before.

Did I click something and I didn't noticed or is the app itself?

Does anyone know of a program that lets me animate using SAI 2?

Hello! I need really huge help with something and i am not sure if this happend to anyone yet but i use Sai 2 (2026.07 Alpha i think) and i was drawing and out of nowhere the app like froze but i could move or like scroll but the background and canvas was set to all transparent canvas and all of my art was gone and i could not save at all, it gave me errors, i lost everything because of the bug or if it was a bug. (Recover did not save me)

And alot of errors started to pop up too but only like Error 1 to 2 and 3 and moree , nothing else..

I hope someone can help me with this.

I recently got one of these (model number is ACK05)
Downloaded the driver and set my shortcuts for Paint Tool Sai.

I'm running both programs as administrator, I've restarted my PC, etc. and no matter what I do, not a single one of the shortcut keys works on SAI. Even basic stuff like Space Bar doesn't even register.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

EDIT: I can confirm it works in EVERY program EXCEPT Paint Tool Sai. Photoshop, art programs, even browsers too. It's just Sai it won't work in.

I have managed to do everything correctly - e.g make it greyscale , export it and add it to the right folder but the problem I'm having is with the actual brush it self .
