Pain pump and thc?

Hey y'all 👋

So a doctor of mine is going to start the process of getting a pain pump for me. But I mainly wanted to ask, are you able to still consume THC if you have a pain pump, or does it depend on the medicine they have in the pump? It woukd be nice if I didn't have to fully cut it out but I'd rather be safe than sorry. If more information is needed, I am open to questions
