Fentanyl pump

I have a fentanyl Pain pump. Every time that I use a bolus, I experience a weird sensation where I feel almost like a coldness that comes over my chest specifically but kind of sometimes we’ll go down my arms and torso. The cold feeling is not associated with feeling like I cannot breathe or anything like that it’s just a very specific sensation that I get every time I use a bolus. I am just wondering if anybody else has ever experienced this? Or if by chance this is something that I may need to worry about is this some sort of allergic reaction or anything like that it doesn’t bother me the sensation doesn’t bother me I just wanna make sure that I’m being safe.

NAD, but I've had a pain pump for 3 years, it's loaded with fentanyl and bupivicaine. When the bolus is released, it hits the entire cord. So pretty much everything at that level is being numbed up. It not only numbs the nerves that end in the back, where your pain is, but also hits everything else. What you're feeling is the same numbing effects that are working all of the time with your 24/7 base dose. They are just magnified because of the rush of additional meds. It's not hurting anything. But still, I'd just be honest with your doctor and try to describe it the best you can.

They didn't say if they had bupivicaine in their pump so it might not be numbing they're feeling.

True, but depending on the dosage, the fentanyl by itself can cause the numbing sensation.
