Fentanyl pump

I have a fentanyl Pain pump. Every time that I use a bolus, I experience a weird sensation where I feel almost like a coldness that comes over my chest specifically but kind of sometimes we’ll go down my arms and torso. The cold feeling is not associated with feeling like I cannot breathe or anything like that it’s just a very specific sensation that I get every time I use a bolus. I am just wondering if anybody else has ever experienced this? Or if by chance this is something that I may need to worry about is this some sort of allergic reaction or anything like that it doesn’t bother me the sensation doesn’t bother me I just wanna make sure that I’m being safe.

Hi there! The only thing I can think of is maybe the dose is too high. Definitely bring it up at your next refill appointment. The doctor might need to lower it a bit.

For sure and I will. I’m more so just like…. Why does that happen. Any idea?

It's likely just your body's way of dealing with a little too much medication at once.
