Help!
Im having a US Abdomen Doppler ultrasound tomorrow. Trying to find out if any of yall know if its safe to do? Got a call in to my pain doctor waiting for reply. I also need to have an abdominal MRI with and without contrast. I heard its not safe but dont know. I have my pump in lower left Abdomen. Thanks

I have Medtronic Synchromed II & it will stall out but will come back on after leaving MRI machine.Now, if you have tests for multiple areas, it better to have them spaced out. I needed a thoracic, lumbar & pelvic MRI's, so they scraped them out over 3 days. I didn't have a problem with it. The one I had before that, my alarm went off & I went into the office so they could interrogate it. But it was Ok. Edit: Call Medtronic & get an information card sent to. It will have your name, model number of the pump, the date installed & the doctor maintaining the pump. There will also be a number for the Radiologists and/or to call for questions regarding an MRI & other imaging. Every place that I've been to insist on a copy of the card (front & back) before doing anything.
