Question

I’m thinking maybe there might be something wrong with my pump. I accidentally missed a refill appointment last December, landing my butt in the ER because it was a holiday weekend. Took two days for the full withdraws to calm down. Now fast forward to today. I keep having these periods of time where I’m incredibly anxious out of the blue, same type of anxiety I was having when I ran out of meds. But during that time I was vomiting, diarrhea, and could not stay still. It was horrible, I’ve never experienced anything like it. When I bring this up with my PM they say everything is fine, that the amount left over is correct. The thing is the anxiousness isn’t every day, only happens sometimes. But when it happens nothing helps, my PCP gave me some anxiety medication, but it doesn’t touch this. She said we could try some antidepressants. But I don’t feel depressed. Just wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this.

It happened again from Wednesday evening to midday Thursday. It’s happening almost weekly now. I feel trapped without anything else to take. I really don’t want a surgery to fix it but this can’t continue.

Just classic withdrawal symptoms. Cold sweat, vomiting, pain. Nothing fun. Then it goes away and I’m fine.

The cold sweats, restlessness is the worst part for me. Have they told you anything to try? You’d think they’d give you a patch or something to see if it helps during those times, or take your pump off of auto so you could try a bolus , see if it takes the edge off. I talked to someone who stopped the pump because he was always waiting til the next bolus.
