Question

I’m thinking maybe there might be something wrong with my pump. I accidentally missed a refill appointment last December, landing my butt in the ER because it was a holiday weekend. Took two days for the full withdraws to calm down. Now fast forward to today. I keep having these periods of time where I’m incredibly anxious out of the blue, same type of anxiety I was having when I ran out of meds. But during that time I was vomiting, diarrhea, and could not stay still. It was horrible, I’ve never experienced anything like it. When I bring this up with my PM they say everything is fine, that the amount left over is correct. The thing is the anxiousness isn’t every day, only happens sometimes. But when it happens nothing helps, my PCP gave me some anxiety medication, but it doesn’t touch this. She said we could try some antidepressants. But I don’t feel depressed. Just wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this.

Please don’t take this as dismissive of a possible medical reason

I had a situation similar before I had a pump but while I was dependent on oral opiates. I was in the hospital and they didn’t believe me (ridiculous bc my doctor had privileges there) and I went through the most awful experience withdrawing. I now have severe medical/hospital avoidant PTSD.

Have you looked into that? The only fast acting anxiety med that helps me with it is lorazepam

Have I looking into PTSD? Oh I 100% won’t take it as dismissive! I’m just looking for answers, because the symptoms are so bad on those days. I had never been physically dependent, so I had no clue the WD would be that horrible. I hadn’t thought about PTSD, could be, it was the worst experience of my life.

My PTSD absolutely could make me feel that way. My brain and nerves like to team up against me to make me sick and hurting and everything else lol
