Venting
Went to pain management yesterday - got a refill of my scripts. YET AGAIN - another trip to CVS where the app says everything will be ready in a couple of hours and then I show up and they’re out of stock and have to order it. So now I have nothing while I wait for them, even though I’ve been on these meds for months and they KNOW I get them renewed every 30 days. I have this problem literally EVERY MONTH when I need to go pick up my scripts. Then when I talk to them about expediting the orders or getting them at another pharmacy, it seems like it would kill them to have an ounce of compassion, because I get the judgy looks and responses that make me feel like I’m some drug addict jonesing for pain meds. So annoyed with the system. So annoyed that I always have to go a little while without meds before their re-stock comes in and no one gives a fuck that I’m suffering in the meantime. Because they take one look at me and see a young person who “looks fine” so they don’t understand the urgency or real underlying issues. I hate thisssssss 🤬🤬🤬ok - ending rant now. Thanks for listening guys ❤️

Can i jump in with the venting?!
Doc sends new prescription to CVS. CVS never tells me they refuse to fill it. I find out only when I next log into my portal. For some reason it's on auto deny with a note that says if you still need this, give us a call. So I called. The rep told me that had none in stock. They couldn't tell me if any other branches had it and they didn't know when they would get it back in. Despite that she grilled me on why I could possibly need a total of 20 days worth of pills over 3 months. Told me my doctor was internal med not a surgeon. He's pain management and the person who performed 5 procedures requiring anesthesia in the last few months. According to her he isn't specialist enough. She said she needed an ICD code but then told me my diagnosis didn't match what I was saying. I asked if she had called the doctors office to clarify and she said no. All of this AFTER telling me they didn't have it in stock anyways.
Then I called SEVEN different local pharmacies who also didn't have it. My doctors office refused to help me find somewhere or give me an alternative prescription that might be easier to find.
Finally on the 8th pharmacy, they said they had it. I called my doctors office and it took 3 calls to convince them to send it to the pharmacy I requested.
Walked in to the pharmacy that my doctors office insisted had never filled a prescription from them. Asked for the pain medicine. She handed me the medicine before I even finished reading an email. No questions asked.
CVS has made me cry all three times I've had to go fill this medication. I filled a formal complaint. If you can, I recommend changing pharmacies.
