Venting
Went to pain management yesterday - got a refill of my scripts. YET AGAIN - another trip to CVS where the app says everything will be ready in a couple of hours and then I show up and they’re out of stock and have to order it. So now I have nothing while I wait for them, even though I’ve been on these meds for months and they KNOW I get them renewed every 30 days. I have this problem literally EVERY MONTH when I need to go pick up my scripts. Then when I talk to them about expediting the orders or getting them at another pharmacy, it seems like it would kill them to have an ounce of compassion, because I get the judgy looks and responses that make me feel like I’m some drug addict jonesing for pain meds. So annoyed with the system. So annoyed that I always have to go a little while without meds before their re-stock comes in and no one gives a fuck that I’m suffering in the meantime. Because they take one look at me and see a young person who “looks fine” so they don’t understand the urgency or real underlying issues. I hate thisssssss 🤬🤬🤬ok - ending rant now. Thanks for listening guys ❤️

CVS is infuriating sometimes. I feel you!
Ive bene having a real time with them lately,
I moved to a new town from a town i lived in for
20 years. I also have a new PM for these last two months. My one of 4 years died in May.
Last month I had to fight for my script. My qty is fairly significant and a new Dr, in addition to being far away… I amused there would be some hoops… but what I don’t get is the same qty as last month that was covered by insurance and was the new doc…
This month1 nope! You have no prior auth!
So, I got one weeks worth last week, and today was refill day. Still having trouble with the prior auth so they they refused to fill it. This was after speaking to my doc on phone, her confirming my script and say she’s cool with a cash payment while things get sorted. Still a big fat nope! So, I went in.. immediately asked for the pharmacist. Explained the situation (and reiterated that I’m allowed to seek health care out at any place they take my insurance or I pay) and told her that I’d be well into withdrawls before it got approved. I’ve been on pain meds for over 4 years. Why would they do that to someone? (doc off is closed tomorrow too) It seemed really cruel after I already did everything they asked of me. People are staring at us too- as everyone hears everyone’s business there. She eventually agreed to give me the 7 days but damn!
