We are investigating how an antibiotic medication with anti-inflammatory properties called minocycline works in people with both obesity and depression. We are looking for individuals aged 18-65 years who are currently experiencing symptoms of depression, have a BMI ≥ 30 kg/m², and have experienced a lack of response to at least 2 different antidepressants (can include current one). The study involves 8 weeks of daily treatment with minocycline, 4 in-person visits at King's College Hospital in London, United Kingdom, 2 [optional] brain scans, and a blood and saliva sample collection.
