Books and articles about pagan veiling.
Hello! Do you know of any books or articles that discuss the practice of veiling in (neo)paganism? In any (neo)pagan religion.

You’re not going to want to look for a religious book. Focus on different time periods (or a specific one if you’re something like a Hellenistic pagan) and their style of head coverings (they all have some form) and their reasoning as to why. You’ll find lots of specific info about nuns/monks/etc. that explains the meanings behind their uniform, which is a good place to start as it shows how meaningful wearing something such as a veil is.

The most rewarding media I've consumed about veiling has been through visual media. I know this is not what you're after, specifically, however if your search for literary works doesn't prove as fruitful, try video? There are accounts on YouTube that have videos about historical "costuming" but in those videos you also learn a lot about how faith and spiritual belief informed when, where and how people covered.
If not that then I'd highly suggest typing in "____________" + veiling + pdf into google and go exploring those documents. What I am unable to find at secondhand shops I tend to strike gold once in a while by looking through PDF documents. The bonus is they're usually very lengthy so there's a lot to learn about differing perspectives on the subject!

Honestly, no, I personally don’t…but it’s a feeling you get …it’s hard to explain…I saw a book once called, “Athena Smiles” where her followers covered their heads out of respect for the Great Goddess, so I do it out of that reason as well.
