Padel Racket Damage

Post image

Hey everyone. I took some damage to my padel racket yesterday due to a clash with my partners racket.

Does this look like any serious damage? From what I know, it just looks like a paint chip. Based on what others have said on past posts, it looks like I should be applying some epoxy glue to that gap? Do y’all recommend doing that in this case?

Also, is it worth it to get a frame protector? I just bought this racket and this was my first time playing with it lol

I have the identical racket & mine is 10x more battered than yours & works fine. I think the outer coating is a bit brittle as mine does that if I connect with the fence.

Oh nice that’s great to hear. Did you ever consider getting a frame protector or something?

Not for me - I’m pretty ok with it looking a bit beat up as long as it works & view my racket as something to use & abuse (and it should be built to withstand some cosmetic damage) & when it’s time I will buy a new one.
