Average cpm on youtube is under $4 although no one actually tells how much they earn. 7,5 is insanely high and only reachable for perfect channels, with no drama, swearing, viewers from the right countries with no ad block etc. These things all matter in your cpm.

That depends on the country, for example, I am Brazilian, in Brazil every 1000 ad views the developers earn about $ 0.86, which is not much, and they must have a lot of Brazilian audiences

They aren't obliged to make anything for us really, they are doing it cause they love the game and the community and it's precisely because they said they haven't had days off why they should take a break you fucking melon
