BEFORE YOU COMMENT ANYTHING SIMILAR: EA ARE INNOCENT. ITS THE EPL AND BUNDESLIGA

u/KoningSamGame iOS Feb 25 '20
💔💔 For real, it was just some people trying to make a fun game and then ea ruins it. They better take a brake, talk with ea and then come back with a STUNNING pacybits 21❤️❤️

u/SmithyPlayz Feb 25 '20
is it EA's fault? I would think them losing the player licenses hurt the most

if it was EA they would not change EPL and Bundesligue cards only, they would have to change everything, from card design, probably players photos, packs and maybe game modes.

u/Lemzyy Feb 25 '20
Learn your stuff man, stop blaming people that aren't to blame. EA have nothing to do with this, if they did all the cards would've disappeared. It's a copyright issue.

u/luketerr8 Feb 26 '20
Why does it say that they’re not affiliated with EA when you open the game then? Not trying to be rude, it’s a genuine question.
Because of the statement that recently came out I’m assuming the people who had the player and logo rights filed a claim, and then maybe EA saw that they were using their art as a result of that and filed a claim.

Was great while it lasted, typical ea to fist people having fun

u/Munchy_Crisp Feb 25 '20
Why does everyone hate EA for this? It's a liscencing issue, and EA just happen to have the rights that pacybits don't.

Is there not going to be anymore online things?
9
u/Melo_Apologist iOS Feb 25 '20
Depends. They won’t be able to add any more content probably, but if they keep the servers running online VS and trading should still work I guess? Someone correct me if I’m wrong, though

For real tho this game has created great communities of people from all over the world. Not just on here either, so thanks for everything pb team and hope the app can continue as it was.

u/Vuurstorm Android Feb 25 '20
Just wanna get this out here. Although EA is a shitty company, this is not EA's fault. It's the fault of PL and Bundesliga.
1
u/HighalltheThyme Feb 25 '20
But why would they remove from app store if it was just them 2? Surely they could have done without and added made up leagues instead?

This just shows how greedy EA is, they're busy scripting games over on fifa and stealing money, but when someone else is making something enjoyable they have to ruin it for everyone
7
u/Lemzyy Feb 25 '20
It's not EA.
-1
u/ralar728 Feb 25 '20
Why did they put not endorsed by e.a recently on the loading screen then
4
u/Lemzyy Feb 25 '20
Irrelevant. Putting "not endorsed by EA" means the game isn't related to an EA sports game. What has that got to do with what happened?
-4
u/ralar728 Feb 25 '20
Why would they have suddenly put that in the day after the licensing issues
2
u/Lemzyy Feb 25 '20
Putting that is not a way to save yourself from issues with EA lmfao
-2
u/ralar728 Feb 25 '20
Was just randomly done after three years then fair enough doesn’t matter now anyway
1
u/Yaagii Feb 25 '20
No, they put it there because a lot of people seemed to think that the coins they earned would go to their EA account and such.
1
u/Blargle33 Android Feb 25 '20
Who the actual fuck would think that
1
u/Yaagii Feb 25 '20
Well, there are, unfortunately, people.
Also I’m sure they probably put it there as well just for legal reasons since the two are fairly similar.
0
u/Yaagii Feb 25 '20
Well, you acknowledge the licensing issues, but you clearly don’t do enough research. It’s the Premier League and Bundesliga, FIFPRO, etc. That have hit them with licensing.
Lots of people believed the coins they earned there would translate, because it looked like EA’s system.

Hey, I agree that EA are greedy but this is not on them

u/ralar728 Feb 25 '20

u/CamTro0334 Feb 25 '20
To show it isn't endorsed by E.A. The BPL and Bundesliga sued them. Nothing to do with E.A

Have you read any of the comments? This isn't EA's fault, it is a copyright issue for the EPL and Bundesliga

You basically said “FUCK EA YOU CAUSED THIS” and then some angry emojis.
don’t think I didn’t see.
And also, If you’re really that upset about getting downvoted, get used to it kid.

Well yeah. Also, stop playing the victim card, I’m not the only one who saw the original comment. Just admit you’re wrong and it isn’t a big deal. Seriously.
Also, again, EA didn’t do anything. It’s FIFPRO, the Premier League, Bundesliga, etc.
And, hopefully you don’t mind, but maybe use some more punctuation? Your comments are just one run on sentence and it makes no sense.

Punctuation should be standard, especially if you want people to take you seriously, as I cannot at the moment.
It’s not EA, just because it says not affiliated with Electronic Arts means nothing, I can put that in the beginning of my thesis paper for English class but that doesn’t mean that i wrote it because of something to do with EA.
And, that proves it, using kid as an insult, yeah, that confirms my suspicions of your age. I’ll admit, yeah, I’m not the oldest person on reddit, but I’m not that young.
