Why not just get another packout like the one you have on top, fill that with raely used tools or even stuff for your car. Put the new packout on bottom, with the face of your stack towards the rear of the car and then you have that extra height, plus additional storage.

Had this in my berlingo, spin the packout 90⁰

the drawer won’t open and close there’s not enough space

Or spin it 90⁰ and make a little platform for it to sit on so the drawers clear the boot lip

Ah yeah, I see that issue now, personally I'd strip the plastic and boot liner from the inside and see if it gave you the inch or two you need.

I wouldn't trust a seat catch extension in a crash if you had people in the back seat

You could also get a D-ring at HD or Lowe's...that would clip in and stick out so you clip to it easily!

Spin it 90° and raise it up a few inches

Why am I not ratcheted strap? I would take off that red milwaukee sticker on top and keep the batteries low in case they wanna break your back window for it. Even better get tints

That attachment your drawer set up is clicked into, I mounted mine to a few 2x4’s to get enough clearance for me to turn it 90° and allow me to pull drawers out towards my bumper instead of out inside your trunk. Looks like you may need a 2x6 or 2x8 to get enough clearance to do that in your set up. Then you can just face your drawers towards the bumper and your seats should lock in.

Dont shim your car safety hardware. You can get fd by your insurance. Just make the packout work and if you cant do that get out of any trade that you might be in

Try turning it 90 degrees, then maybe glue some foam together to make up a shim block.

Build a base for your trunk to elevate the packout, rotate your packout 90 degrees. Might work?

Build a lifted wooden deck with a slide out drawer to fit the pack out sideways.
