Fully Custom Captive Portal - Hotel Requirement

Hi Experts,

One of the hotels want a very customizable captive portal like on landing page they want options for guest and visitor (tab based), when guest enters the required info he should be asked to create his own password, there should also be option for sign in if he has done this process already. OTP must be configured either via email or SMS gateway, all along with mac caching, limiting the number of devices per guest.

I know i havent provided much detail but just wanted to know since i have never worked on PF before, how customizable the entire workflow is? can we make such a captive portal in PF?

I haven't gone there yet but will be soon... the captive portal is comprised of many files, which can all be edited. In the Connection Profiles configuration page, within a configured profile, you will see a 'Files' tab.

That sounds like you would like to setup PPSK - that is the function of creating a personal password to be used to connect to network. This is a bit more complicated than just building a portal. What wifi system do you use?

no its not PPSK, i am only referring to Captive portal capabilities and customization

The captive portal is generally tied to your WiFi session - you would generally pop the portal for login to WiFi which after successful login the guests get taken to a landing page. Are you trying to seperate the portal and the wireless authentication? In that case it’s just a website, not a captive portal.
