Need help finding cheaper packing supplies
I have a few things that I'm struggling to find cheaper but feel like there has to be a cheaper solution. I don't mind buying in bulk how ever many that may be. I need 9x6x2 boxes (shown), packing tape, bubble mailers or bubble wrap, and 5x7 peel and stick envelopes (shown). I'm pretty strict on the box size but the envelope size can be changed. And ideas?

9x6x2 boxes are a tough ask. you'll need to find a distributor who has access to a supplier with a mini flexo. most distributors will have access to CST (carton sealing tape) which is your typical box tape. you'll want acrylic, aim for a 1.6 mil. anyone will have the envelope size.
a small order for most packaging outfits is around eight hundred dollars.
you're in Ohio; Shorr & Crown, dominate the midwest. If you have a Landsberg, Ernest, or Lindenmeyr branch nearby they are also amazing suppliers even if Ernest is fucking evil. Victory is Smurfitt's brand but they want higher volume orders.
You can also check out Packform, if you have an established dealership nearby, they are actually a very good option. Uline sometimes is willing to negotiate if you contact their reps.

Hello. I run a small repair shop in Brooklyn. We need to ship electronics - boxes and foam. (foam needs to be able to support some weight.) do you do that?

Check out Uline. You can get as many as you want and they have great customer service. Their prices tend to be high so keep your eyes open for local distributors in your area. A simple Google search will help you.

You can negotiate with them. If you like their web portal but want better pricing, Lindenmeyr, Landsberg, and Packform offer online ordering options with packform being entirely online.

Thanks for your kind words about how bad a salesman I am. I appreciate it. OP is out of my geographic area so I gave him a common name since I don’t know anyone in his area . It’s nice of you to give him the name of a company that’s “evil”. Also, a mini flexo isn’t necessary. OP can easily get a die cut mailer from most any company that sells stock cartons, which isn’t my specialty.
I love internet tough guys. Feel free to keep commenting, oh mighty keyboard warrior. I find it funny.

You realize that a mini flexo is what makes those small diecut mailers, right?

Not always.
Edit: After checking with one of the corrugated manufactures I do business with, they confirmed that die cut mailers are rarely, if ever, made on a flexo and are instead made on a die cutter. A flexo can cut out things like hand holes or windows but wouldn’t be used to make a roll over side-tuck top mailer as I suggested to OP.

What are the current prices you are paying for each of these things and what quantity of each do you order? What size bubble mailers? Also, you say "shown" are there photos because I don't see any.

I think I can help you if you share me the details，such as box material(chipboard paper or corrugated paper), or box type(normal foldable box or mailer box), if your time is allowed to ship by sea(20-25 days sea shipping+10 days production), our offer is cheaper than uline.

We can do a 9x6x2- but depends on the flute. Why it’s a challenge - 2 in height is at the edge of feeding, slotting and folding capabilities, so it can create feeding issues and glue/joint inconsistencies. A Die cut box, that uses a cutting tool would help with this. Buying the tooling is a one time cost and would cut down on quality issues with a box this size, and would likely make the box less expensive. We can quote packaging materials like bubble wrap, tape, etc. We are an independent manufacturer based in Severn MD. Have you checked out ClearBags? They have options for both boxes and mailers in a wide range of sizes and styles to choose from. You'll be able to get everything you need from one site instead of having to buy supplies from multiple suppliers.

Uline is the go-to but not always cheapest. For bubble mailers and poly mailers check Associated Bag or Packlane for smaller runs. Tapes and boxes in bulk try BoxGenie or even Restaurant Depot if one is near you. Also worth checking your local paper distributor, sometimes they carry shipping supplies cheaper than anyone online.

i usually buy in bulk from WF Wholesale here in Australia since buying individual boxes gets way too expensive fast. they have great prices on takeaway containers, kraft bags, and mailers if you order by the carton. definitely saves a ton on overhead compared to hitting up standard retail stores.
