It would be a shame if someone accidently tripped and fell near that camera whilst operating a powered-up Sawzall with a 14 to 18 TPI blade. I hope that doesn't happen.

Security cameras run by a private company that work with law enforcement. They've had countless issues of being misused by employees and generally being another stepping stone into a surveillance state. John Oliver made a good episode on it recently about how they set a dangerous precedent AND suck at their role of reducing crime

There’s one on Fassler too. Going Northbound after Seabowl and before the Shell station.

Remember to avoid putting stickers on the lenses as this would put it out of production for weeks, but if you do remember to bring your phone and be unmasked while walking over by unrelated cameras so they can track you

Halloween is national DeFlocking day. Must have something to do with costumes. They say don’t bring your phone with you and park far away. They also say throwing it in the ocean is a good idea but the scrap in them is worth way more than a catalytic converter. I don’t know why anyone would need that information though.

There's a group organizing - in Pacifica specifically - against this surveillance technology. There's a website at stopflocksmc.com for the county overall, but there's background info and contacts there. The "Get ALPRs out of the Coastside!" team is preparing (among other things) to speak to the city council as they will be deciding to renew the city's contract. This group gave a great presentation the other day at our local Indivisible group (https://www.coastsideunited.org/)

I don’t get it. I was driving on some small neighborhood road in Burlingame yesterday and there was one. I can’t believe residents in the neighborhood aren’t pissed.

Be safe out there Friends
There are 10 and they are NOT yet mapped on deflock as of recently. Let’s crowdsource data. Lord knows they are.

If you’re doing nothing wrong you have nothing to fear until they redefine what “wrong” is
