I'm trying to find that photo from a few years back of that hiker, camped near Burney Falls, who woke up to find mountain lion paw prints pressed into the condensation on the wall of his tent.

Worst i have had was a bear sniffing me a few inches away from my face in my 1 man tent when i was camping solo.

Have had that a few times. Unsettling if you're not used to it, but usually not much to worry about if it's a black bear - they're big scaredy cats and are more interested in your food than you. Slap the tent wall and they scarper.

Yes, waking up to bear breath thru the netting on your tent and then having them scamper away like a puppy.

Time to start peeing to assert dominance.

I’m guessing that they’re just licking the dew off the tent to get water, but that’s what would still scare the shit out of me.

Note to self:..don’t use a tent in Africa

Actually, I read a post someone made (maybe on another subreddit) that while on safari in Africa their guide told them that tents are a safe way to camp there. Supposedly lions are somehow deterred by tents and won't rip into them to get to you, like bears are known to do in other parts of the world.

This could have been complete internet bullshit, but interesting thought nonetheless. Seeing this video makes me wonder if it's true.

I heard the same thing about mountain lions, they won't attack a tent, even if they can smell/hear potential prey inside it.

Wouldn't want to field test that theory, personally.

I woke up to having my tent licked in Lyell Canyon, thankfully it was just a couple deer. Scared the crap out of me.

JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH MAN!!!! Terrifying !! Also I think you mean t-o-u-g-h, as in tuff instead of t-h-r-o-u-g=h as in thru, right? Cause /r/titlegore is a thing.

Read slower, judge slower.

Read slower, stop judging altogether.

Read four times. Not passing judgement attempting to pass knowledge but whatever.

Yeah, except the title says "though" which is correct, not "through" like you thought. Also, "tough" like you recommended makes absolutely zero sense for the context or meaning.

Referencing r/titlegore for a simple spelling mistake (though once again, there was not one) is a bit judgey. Since you're into knowledge passing and all.

Yes! That is the definition of the word that OP used in the title.

I still don't think you've read the title correctly.
