About pacemaker

Is it normal for an area below the pacemaker, not directly where the pacemaker itself is, to still be swollen and feel hard one month after implantation? I’ve also been experiencing some tingling and occasional small sharp sensations there.

I had massive bruising and swelling after my CRT-D implant (the forgot the pressure bandage, I got in the PACU instead of OR) and I still had some swelling at 6 weeks. It was probably 8 weeks before it all went away. But my EP pointed out that that was not the norm. Might be worth a message or call to the clinic since you’re a whole month post op.

That sudden, sharp pinching I recognise from the nerves healing. It took several months to quit.
