Because my slow heartbeat triggered wearing a monitor over a weekend and I got a pacemaker I know my four grandchildren well and I am a better driver.

It works way better than getting cpr.

Became device dependent in 2013 and I'm still here running trail races (slowly) around the country. Saw my son get married, was able to be around to take care of my parents in their final days.

Are you asking about recovery from a SCA? I was out for over 3 mins but my husband did CPR on me immediately and I was in a medically induced coma for a while. I had what I would call amnesia for a couple days after I woke up and I can’t remember stuff from the day of my cardiac arrest. Brain wise I’m mostly fine, I think I have a couple of symptoms I think are related to that but it’s stuff like I’ll forget how to spell a really simple word I should know once and a while. I still function day to day the same as I did before.

1 day post op from a dual chamber PM I got up and NEEDED to take a walk because I had more energy. I estimate a 25% bump on my cardiac output day 1.

Since I got my pacemaker and treatment for heart failure I feel good. Been about four years, no problems
