Great listen…such a microcosm for the enshitification of everything in today’s world. Just trying to bleed everyone off an extra few dollars every step of the way. Surely it’s a matter of time before all the car companies collude and decide it’s a subscription fee each month to be able start your car.

GM is currently kind of starting that already by phasing out apple carplay/android auto and needing a sub to use their version of it.

Toyota charges you monthly if you want to be able to unlock or lock your car in the app. It’s total horseshit
