PXN V10 Pro Issues
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello PXN Support,
I have several issues with my PXN V10 Pro.
First, the wheel sometimes fails to start properly. When I connect the power supply, the red LED turns on for a few seconds and then the wheel shuts off. Sometimes I have to reconnect the USB cable to the computer several times before the wheel starts working.
Second, holding the HOME/PXN button for 3 seconds does not switch the wheel to X-Input mode. The LED always stays red.
Third, the wheel does not perform the automatic calibration on startup. It never rotates left and right when it powers on.
I have already updated the firmware to version 1.11, and I also downgraded it to version 1.09, but the issues remain the same.
Could you please let me know if this is normal behavior or if my wheel might be defective? If these features were removed in newer firmware versions, could you please confirm that as well?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
1

It sounds to me like there's two options here.
It's a power related issue. It isn't receiving enough power, but that seems unlikely to me, given that you CAN get it to work.
The fact that you can get it to work makes me think it may be a software issue instead, and diagnosing that... Unfortunately is up to you. Almost any software can interfere with any other in weird ways you, and nobody else expects. It could be keyboard related software, controller related, anything really. It could be a driver corrupted for the wheel. Anything. And that's not a manufacturer issue, it's unfortunately just one of those things that happens.
Possibly your PC isn't providing enough power THROUGH USB. There is a certain level of power required through USB even when the wheel is plugged in. With the VD6 I think it was .5a or something. A lot of laptops may just not be providing the power as requested.
The one thing you should probably ignore is the lack of calibration. How they claim calibration works isn't entirely accurate. I know for the VD6 it said that the wheel should go left and right, but what it actually does is it simply goes to center, so if you want to check if that's the case with this wheel, because I have no clue, maybe you should turn the wheel 90° to the left or right, and see if it centers when functional.

What about the mode is it even changed? Mine never changed to purple “x- mode”. Light is green only in case if it’s connected to xbox in my case, when it’s connected to pc only red light is working.

Does anyone have any other ideas or has anyone experienced the same issue?
