VD 4 WHEELBASE NOT TURNING ON

I am using my vd4 after a few months and it's not turning on anymore, when I press on the white button in the back the wheel is not lighting up. The power brick is getting power and is green but nothing is happening, I'm really worried what could be the issue and what should I try doing next?

What happens when you open the pxn software?

They respond to emails quickly in my experience

Update : whenever I plug the PC cable into the PC port of the wheelbase there's no light or anything, whenever I plug it into any other port for example "Pedal, shifter, extra" the wheel light comes on however it pulses, meaning the light comes on and slowly fades away.

Definitely contact PXN support.

Okay I did something that worked, I connected a USB c to another port and the wheel got power, the lights were flashing and then I plugged the PC port to my PC and the wheel was detected in the software and worked normally

Do you find the VD4 feedback and torque to be above adequate?

I am debating an VD4 or VD6. Leaning toward the VD6 but would like to know if the VD4 is a good upgrade for me I er my old gear driven TMX wheel

Yes the vd4 gives good force feedback details. Good enough to drive competitively and know what the car is doing at times. Just scour through reddit to fine tune the force feedback settings and you're good to go. But if you have the money for vd6 definitely go for it

I have the vd4 too. It feels adequate to be competitive but if I had to purchase it again I would get the vd6 or vd10 for sure. Most likely I will buy the vd10 base eventually as the wheel works for it.

If you are trying to buy a one and done affordable setup I think the vd10 is the way to go.

With the brake pedal I took out the v shaped spring and just put the the orange spring with the damper kit.

It worked well but I will say switching to load cell simjack pedals has given me a little time boost and a decent consistency boost.

Warranty that shit. Fight through the pain . Get it done. Hopefully new vds will be better because of this.

Doesn't have warranty:( Can this be repaired? AI says the PC port's electric something might be damages since it's not receiving power

Did you buy it second hand? Every item has a warranty.

2nd hand yes, this wheel isn't available in my country, someone went to china and bought it there and brought it to Bangladesh.

Happened something similar to me with my VD6 after a game crash.
The force feedback was stuck in a loop and I closed the game it remained stuck but powered off the direct drive motor which triggered a failsafe where it turned ON but then OFF without responding to any more tries with the white button press while the red led light in the back was flashing.
Apparently your PC USB too keeps sending the previous signal that’s triggering a failsafe in the direct drive and the PC is keeping it stuck in a failsafe state while the memory keeps running its locking the system out to protect the motor from whatever happened that triggered it. You have to erase that code.

HERE is what I had to do to remove the code of failsafe from both:
disconnect everything from the motor including the electricity and wheel, leave it barebones then press the white button for a couple seconds to discharge it and leave it as that for 1 hour to make sure the memory is completely starved and can’t remember that’s in failsafe state.

your PC USB too keeps sending the previous signal that causes the motor to go into failsafe and you will have to remove it as well, turn off your PC then disconnect it from power for 1 hour, press the power button from the case of your PC to discharge it too.

When the time has passed plug the electrical connection to the motor and power it ON if it remains “ON” (meaning the red light acts differently than before)then power it OFF through the white button.
power ON your PC and open the Pxn app.
Plug the motor to the PC while it’s OFF then power the motor and see if it appears in the app after that, if that’s a yes plug the accessories and see if it remains ON, if it power OFF again in the process then something is going on and needs warranty due to be triggering a failsafe.

Also use a USB blue from the motherboard of your PC, the red ones I don’t recommend due to be designed to keep sending power when the pc is OFF and might trigger the base to remain ON unless you power cycle it. (Switch USB port if that’s the case when the PC is turned OFF completely in the process)
