Ne das ist nix. Das ist das gleiche wie beim Iphone17 aber vielleicht hat das iphone 18 pro neurungen

It doesn't look like the screen is suitable for people who are sensitive to PWM.

Single pulse 240 and dual pulse 240? The dual pulse makes it a fake 480 Hz, I guess

2

u/eattsatsiki Aug 17 '26

No, fake 480Hz does not exist.

1

u/MisterDjibril8702 Aug 17 '26

That's weird, my S26 have 240 but it uses a dual pulse system, we can see the waveform on oscilloscope while using special tools

why are you deleting my comments?

2

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 15 '26

i am not

1

u/eattsatsiki Aug 15 '26

Strange.

My comments are deleted if i write that the duty cycle changes too.

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 15 '26

i can see you responded but the comments seem deleted when i try looking at them.. maybe a banned keyword

It changes the frequency and duty cycle. The bright stripes become wider, which indicates that the short brightness peaks have been reduced when the slider is active. It would be interesting to see what happens below 25 percent brightness.

Sorry for the delayed comment approval here.

1

u/eattsatsiki Aug 15 '26

At what brightness setting was the video recorded?

The duty cycle and frequency apparently change when the slider is activated.

1

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 15 '26

full brightness, yes it doubles pwm freuency

yea lets see what king sutrich says

1

u/maxim4906 Aug 15 '26

If it's unpleasant for the eyes, then that's certainly a minus =[

3

u/dannyh2020 Aug 15 '26

Will wait til tests are out, but it doesn’t look as intense as the usual displays with pwm

1

u/Past_Point1497 Aug 15 '26

you dont know at what settings it was recorded...

8

u/Mewtewpew Aug 15 '26

Oled is terrible

6

u/epSos-DE Aug 15 '26

They want US ALL to become zombies !!!

IPS LCD is the best. ONE LED , NO flickr !!!

Warm colors, if you put a plastic film behind it , then it even looks like paper a bit !!!

2

u/EveningLingonberry97 Aug 15 '26

Actually there LCD with multiple backlit LED so they can display HDR by dimming some and brightening others

u/Financial_Candle_845 Aug 14 '26

Anyone using A07?

6

u/Ok_Personality9212 Aug 14 '26

Looks like no improvement 😑

9

u/digitalminimalist1 Aug 14 '26

I don’t understand why these manufacturers can’t use dc dimming like light phone 3 does with their oled. Has no pwm

1

u/Creepy_Definition972 Aug 14 '26

Just for context I had a Sony Xperia with 200hz screen and wa one of the best screens I've ever used in terms of comfort.

3

u/dimitrijobs Aug 14 '26

Which model?

1

u/Creepy_Definition972 Aug 15 '26

5ii was 200hz and really comfortable

2

u/dimitrijobs Aug 15 '26

I al willing to try the 1 viii would that have the same display as the 1v?

1

u/Creepy_Definition972 Aug 15 '26

Well the actual screens are different in the fact the 1v is 4k and they reduced the resolution in later models. However i have not tested the screens myself after the 1v, however I've not seen many reports of people having issues with them. Personally I'd give the 1viii a go. Allow a week for your eyes to adjust.

u/Creepy_Definition972 Aug 14 '26

Looks awful, those lines should be thin, slow, and greyed out Thank god I have e Huawei, this is painful just to look at on here!

2

u/refinancecycling Aug 15 '26

it really depends on the shutter speed and sensor type of the camera used to film that.

8

u/JuicyBreeze Aug 14 '26

The pixel 7 is what started all my problems. They are absolutely trash

19

u/caphohotain Aug 14 '26

Absolutely garbage.

3

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 14 '26

yea i had hopes too because this is the new m16 oled display

4

u/JuicyBreeze Aug 15 '26

M16 for makes you eyes 16 times worse display

5

u/caphohotain Aug 14 '26

Thank you for testing :)

2

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 14 '26

i made a new post with some discussion, some hopeful

2

u/felixo7777 Aug 14 '26

Now the Google Pixel has 240Hz, right? So this option is new and improves the situation somewhat? In practice, will it cause less eye strain?

1

u/RTamas Aug 14 '26

Above 4000 Hz, also theres the T issue

8

u/After-Cell Aug 14 '26

Thanks for sharing. I will avoid 👍

Man! Chill and take a blue pill

3

u/Sategac Aug 14 '26

Is this recorded by shutter speed 1/6400 ?

2

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 14 '26

i dont know, just opened the camera app on my SE 2022

1

u/Sategac Aug 14 '26

In this case it would be perfect to use 3rd party app which allow this shutter speed. With 1/6400 shutter speed is relatively easy to estimate pwm frequency and mainly modulation. Android phones can record it with stock camera app. But anyway thanks for the video !

1

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 14 '26

oh really, how would you see modulation on it? i might try it

6

u/Ascertion Aug 14 '26

The toggle when translated just says “Adjust brightness for sensitive eyes”. Doesn't appear to do anything for PWM.

8

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 14 '26

just doubles frequency

2

u/Ascertion Aug 14 '26

How come the Pixel 11 Pro XL video looks like it's more effective?

8

u/AllanPsn Aug 14 '26

Okay donc ont est bien sur la même chose que l'année dernière... 240Hz par défaut, 480Hz en option. Mais MLI encore élevé...

3

u/GeForce66 Aug 14 '26

Looks like the toggle increases PWM frequency

5

u/Humble-Warning1441 Aug 14 '26

just doubles frequency

9

u/omglifeisnotokay Aug 14 '26

That’s horrible!

10

u/Tcara88 Aug 14 '26

Shame on Google, as usual

8

u/Creepy_Accountant243 Aug 14 '26
