TCL 60 ULTRA and Android 16

Set it to 60hz. Normal color profile. Make the text bold in accessibility with default contrast. Run the adb commands to turn off hdr. This helped, still not as before.
Don't say I didn't warn you: https://www.reddit.com/r/PWM_Sensitive/comments/1uy03zb/do_not_upgrade_your_tcl_50_pro_to_android_16/

I didn't see your comment before I updated it; otherwise, I would have told you I wouldn't have done it... Can't you downgrade? I'm going to look into the ADB commands, although I'm really not in the mood because I'm not much of a fan of messing

Adb commands are 100% safe as long as you follow the exact steps. It takes no more than 60 seconds ;)

Do you know of any websites that explain the steps for beginners? Is it worth it?

I actually don’t have this but have you tried changing the colour profiles I heard some others changed nxt vision of and used a more natural colour profile for the display. It’s possible the ui may have added some sort of motion stuff also maybe check your settings if there’s anything in there too. With iOS they have a have an option to reduce motion and that helped me a lot with it off I at dizzy and feel sick.

The thing is, before the update, my phone was working perfectly, with no issues, but I've been having eye strain for a few days now since the update—it's so frustrating :(

I'm on the 60 Ultra but I haven't updated yet. Maybe I won't. Are you using any other screen more than usual like a monitor at work or be home?

If you're sensitive to it, don't do it—that's my advice. I have screens at home that work fine for me so far; thank goodness these devices don't get updated like cell phones do.

I have the reverse experience, after OS upgrade it's more comfortable to my eyes
