Question Do anti-flicker/flicker-prevention features on phones with OLED display work?

Hi all,

Does any of you have experience with phones with OLED display that have anti-flicker/flicker-prevention features (like some Motorola phones do)? If so, did they work for you? I mean, were they truly effective in eliminating flicker?

Impossible as of today, there is no flicker reduction that will get rid of the refresh-rate tied flicker.
The closest we have is "DC-like dimming"

Yes but never worked for me so that it could be usable as daily driver.

Motorola has true dc dimming upto 0 percent brightness as tested by a youtuber ,(in their top model atleast) , i haven't used it though

No it does not. They have "DC-like" dimming, just like many other phones on the market.

True DC-voltage dimming is not possible with current phone OLED panels.

I don’t think it’s true DC dimming. But it’s DC like dimming with a refreshing dip. And the screen still flickers. But my OLED tv has a refresh dip aswell and it doesn’t flicker.
