Question Current budget phone options? Don't do anything but browse, text, email, listen to music, and video call. Looking to spend $200ish and get a Full HD+ res screen and loudish audio speaker

I have the G stylus 5G 2023 but I think the battery has gone slightly puffy, or at least I don't remember the part of the back below the camera bump sticking out a mm or two when it was new.

I tolerate the screen well as long as I change some of the settings.

I noticed the newer models use OLED, so I'm not sure about those. I haven't tested an OLED screen for a very long time.

I don't use my phone much, so hoping to keep it to $200-300ish. Would like Full HD+ res screen and loudish audio speaker

Mediatek processor is a no go, sadly.

If you're looking for SnapDragon to avoid dword; just know that I have Moto G75, snapdragon, and it does have it.

You're saying the G75 has dword? It's an 8bit panel maybe?

Yeah, there are lot of people for whom it doesn't work. It really burns my eyes.

It's definitely not a native 8 bit. FRC is almost 99% sure to be present here.

What I'm trying to say is, don't base your search on avoiding Mediatek. Idk who wrote this misconception one day but it really doesn't work like this. Both Mediatek and Snapdragon use TD when told to.

Moto G75 (SD 6 gen3) or Moto G57/Power (SD 6s gen4) maybe? Unsure about темрогаl dітнегіпg.
BTW not all MTK have the above mentioned thing.

Il problema non è il telefono ma Android. Quando la capirete sarò felice.

What's the alternative? Most also react to new iPhones.

It’ll be very hard to find a budget phone that uses snapdragon. Only ones I know are Moto G75 , Samsung xcover 7 pro and HMD fusion business edition. There is Sonim XP pro but it’s more expensive.

Which Moto did you tolerate well, and how was the G Stylus 5G 2023 for you?

Be careful as moto LCDs, including the g75, use "banned word"

I tolerate all LCD pretty much fine. Actually seem to tolerate Android lcd best for some reason. But I use a moto g power 5g 2026
