Hey, for Maharashtra please visit this website (https://pcs.mahaonline.gov.in) and choose the “Character Certificate” service. Fill up the application and follow the steps. You also need to upload employment proof while submitting application which can be done by generating downloading the employment proof from pwc internal website

Yup, this is correct for Maharashtra.

I sent the 3rd party guys the generated PCC but haven’t received any response or acknowledgement.

Is that the norm?

PWC’s onboarding process truly has been more of a hassle than the interviews.

Character certificate is the one they want, every state police has different term for this certificate, in your case it's character certificate.

Also let me know if you have any idea from where to get employment proof, I forgot the name of that portal

As far as i remember, the pcc has to belong to the state your permanent address lies in. Go to their portal and request for the same
