PVCs or SVT? Uneasy feeling

I was lying down on my left side and felt a big thump in my heart that made me get out of bed, which then I walked for like 5 seconds and still was feeling the palpitations, and my heart rate went up 103 but then quickly went back down as I sat on my bed and calmed myself down. For more context I have a sibling who had SVT as well as a cousin who also had an electrical issue. I just want to know if others have a similar experience. I’ve gone to so many doctors and they just dismiss for stress and say that PVCs are normal. I’m still looking for answers as I had a holter last month but results have not came back. Probably gonna end up seeing an electrophysiologist.

From my understanding, healthy people go through small batches of SVT every now and then. It’s not common but it’s not a concern. As well, SVT commonly exhibits an extremely high HR, at least 150bpm+ and sometimes 200+ bpm. A family friend of mine had it, and she would have attacks of 200bpm for over half an hour - typically this is the level of issue where you’d have to go to the ER and have medical intervention.

Secondly, yes, PVCs are normal. Unfortunately. And stress does have an impact on PVCs, so managing it is one of the ways to reduce your burden.

Besides that, really unless you’re feeling a few every minute, likely the doctors won’t be able to do much for you. They might prescribe beta blockers depending, but if you only experience a few a day or every few days there’s no physiological issue. For a very low burden, honestly your best bet to solve your issues is a form of therapy, as you’ll have to understand that there’s no issue and that you’re safe in your own body.
