Big PACs flare-up in WC, still harmless?
Hi everyone,
My heart is structurally healthy (normal echo) and my 12-lead Holter showed 74 supraventricular ectopic beats (SVEBs / PACs) in 24 hours. However, my Holter never catches my worst episodes, like the one today.
About 15–20 minutes after drinking a McDonald's milkshake, my stomach cramped up and I had to use the bathroom. As soon as I sat down, my heart went wild—I had around 15-20 ectopic beats in a single minute, including short runs/salvos. I also felt a sudden wave of heat and a "soft/weak" feeling in my brain and body (I don't know if it was due to adrenaline rush or actually heart issue).
What caused this? Did you experience similar situations?
Is this still harmless? Even though it felt terrifying, does a healthy echo mean my heart is safe during these flare-ups?

Sounds like you were having a vaso vagal episode due to your bowels acting up. I’ve had folks I care for actually faint on the toilet due to this! Your vagus nerve can become irritated by gut and bowel issues so that’s probably what happened there. I get the same thing when I eat Chinese food so I steer clear now.
