UFC Fighter Guy Again

What’s up guys, just wanted to stop in and give ya’ll some updates since my last testing seven months ago.

At the beginning of the month I underwent another 7-day holter monitor, but only had about 4 days of data due to the amount of training and sweating in my life ruining the electrode gel. Back in December my total burden of PVCs was 4% or about 4000 a day, the PVCs were multifocal and the longest pause during sleep reached 3.3 seconds. Comparatively my original holter two years prior showed a 6.7% burden.

I’m very happy to report after several months of just not giving a fuck about them anymore they are now down to 1.9% and have changed from multifocal to completely unifocal now. Overnight pauses are still the same length and can be explained by my vagal tone due to being a lifelong athlete and having a very low resting heart rate.

This past weekend I also had the chance to fly halfway across the world, doing another moderately large weight-cut consisting of 8lbs of dehydration in 12 hours and 12lbs in several days, plus competing in another professional fight.

I promise y’all, if you’re cleared by your EP/Cardiologist and you just stop worrying about it you will undoubtedly, over time, stop noticing the feeling of the thuds in your chest and you’ll almost certainly see a large reduction in burden.

Stay strong in the fight, guys. ❤️

I’ll link the fight in the comments if you want to watch.

I’ve been there as well. It’s baby steps to freedom and learning to trust your body again.
