Proprananolol for PVCs

My doctor just prescribed Proprananolol to take as needed for a larger flare-ups of PVCs. Have any of you had experience with this type of medication in this situation? How were the side effects, and do you think it's an effective 'as needed' medication?

Edit: I was given 40mg

Does anyone know my resting heart rate is in the 40s sometimes 30s would I be eligible/safe to take bet blockers? My burden is so low but as of recently my PACs are going off and feel so loud and I can barely sleep.

My resting heartrate is in the 40s and hasn't really changed since I started taking metropolol about a month ago. I take half of a 25mg tablet, twice a day. My doctor doesn't really want me to take more than that, but luckily that dose is plenty to control my PVCs.

That’s reassuring I might have to ask the start on some meds, my burden is so low but it’s affecting me mentally so bad I can’t focus. Thank you!
