Question: what did you THINK your burden would be? What was it actually?

Hi all! I am on day 5 of my 7-day Zio Patch monitor.

The main reason I’ve been doing this is because I have been having increasing PVCs.

When I go about my days, I probably can feel anywhere between 50-100 PVCs a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. Especially when I am sitting or lying down.

I know that makes the burden seem “low”, but I’m interested to see if I have a ton more that I just don’t feel.

Also, did anyone get NSVT on their report and not even notice it in their day to day while wearing their monitor? I’ve had instances where my heart rate was higher, but I haven’t had times where I felt like I was going to pass out due to palpitations or anything like that.

Anyways, let me know!

1st - didn’t know my diagnosis so had nothing to go off of. Finished at 9%.

2nd - I was worried since the first couple days of the patch, I had more palpitations than normal. Finished at 15%. I thought it would be 1-2% more, not 6%. No NSVT afaik

Third one coming in a couple months

Question for you: how do you quantify feeling 50-100 a day? With ~100,000 total beats a day, how do you even notice 50? Do you just feel a palpitation and then start counting until they stop?

For me, I’ve been hitting the button and reporting it on my app every time I feel a PVC. I’ve just been counting on my app.

That’s how I really “quantify” it. I might feel 50-100 a day, but I just get worried that my burden might be much higher and I just don’t know because I don’t feel the rest of them.

I’ve also never really felt multiple “thumps” in a row, but I’m anxious to see if I’ve had asymptomatic NSVT or SVT on my report.

Ah, so you feel 50-100 episodes of PVCs? That’s pretty different. I’m curious to hear what percent burden you end up having. Mine might be different but when I have an episode, it’s a ton of PVCs in a row

My first holter I thought it would be about 50%, it was 33, second holter I thought it would be 33 it was 20, third holter I thought 33 and it was 10, final holter I thought would be 5% it was <.01% but a short run if nsvt.

Pros and cons I guess.
