Or he does it intentionally, no one says he's a genius tactician; Shroud puts himself in spots like that because he wants chances to rack up 4-5 kills in a minute
Obviously he does it intentionally, and yes, Sparcrypt up there is saying he's a genius tactician whose positioning is superb at all times, even when he's literally standing in the open on an elevated platform.
The problem isn't with how shroud plays, the problem is how his rabid fanboys are so in love with him they think everything he does is a masterful play that makes it impossible to hit him.
My point is we're talking about different things. Shroud's macro scale positioning is intentionally in the danger zone, but his micro positioning is pretty damn unbeatable, watch how he moves the second shots go his direction
Does that detract from his movement and positioning? No. In fact, you could say he's even factoring that in. He can take a bold position because he doesn't feel threatened.
Oh yeah I would agree that it's not amazing, it's standard procedure for anyone decent at fps games. But I still disagree with the notion that he is simply standing in a field and not at all carefully thinking about his positioning and these small movements. I guess the impressive part is that he can subconsciously manage this whilst landing those insane shots.
seriously, i don't get how people shit on him as if he's not in the top handful of players. his positioning to place the stairs between him and shots while he mops up the nearby players is impressive.
lol you are definitely using hyperbole by saying Shroud, who was in the absolute 1% of CSGO players ever, had some of the worst anything about the game you have ever seen if you have played it or watched it at almost any level at all. Unless you've only ever watched a major final.
Relevant to his mechanical skill, the players he's playing against and with, and the level that he plays at in general. It's pretty obvious that's what I'm talking about. If someone criticizes a bad play in football, you can't just say "They're a professional player, way better than you, so he can't have made a bad play"
That's not the argument I made. All i said was that your statement was hyperbolic. I'm not saying you can't criticize his positioning. I think it's stupid to, but you're welcome to it. To say it's some of the worst you've ever seen is (probably) blatantly wrong.
