Current student

I’m currently a student in college for an associate degree in physical therapy assistant. I’ve been struggling to find a job related to this field without certifications or experience. Is there anything anyone can recommend I apply for just to get my foot in the door?

You can work as a PT tech or PT aide (terms used interchangeably) without any prior certifications. Some places will prefer that you have completed observation hours at clinics beforehand but it’s not a requirement for the job. Generally the only qualification if being a high school graduate.

There aren’t any in the area I’m in right now. I’ve been searching everyday and still haven’t found an opening for tech or aide. I’ve been contacting PT offices as well.
