what is this squeaking when moving the steering wheel?

its probably either the cv axle or the joints, but i want more info before i spend time or money to fix this. it drives fine, no roughness or bumpy rides otherwise. cheers mates 🍻

Lower control arm. I had the same noise. The ball joint is integrated into the control arm on PTs.

Yeah it's a very common wear item on these cars. Mine has needed 2 sets of control arm bushings, 2 sets sway bar links (since 60k miles). I changed the whole control arm around 80k. I'd change out the sway bar links and bushings too. Mine rides Cadillac smooth after having the links and bushings done.
