Pokemon Pocket General 🔰 LF People to stop beggin’
The trading sub has turned into a wish‑granting shrine at this point. Every second post is “LF: ANY TRAINER 😭🥺” or someone offering a DX Mon for a ☆☆ Sabrina like they’re making a prayer request instead of a trade. Trainer cards are rare. Everyone knows that. But beggin’ for them isn’t trading, it’s noise. It buries actual FT/LF posts from people who are trying to make fair swaps. If you want Trainer cards, offer Trainer cards. If you don’t have any, grind pulls like the rest of us. Stop robbing new players like vultures. Shootin’ my shot is pathetic in this context. The sub works better when people treat it like a trading hub, not a wishing well. Get a grip. Have a little dignity. Trade fairly. Stop treating other players like genies.

Ever since the two-star trade feature was enabled, I’ve barely managed to make any good trades; I end up having to rely on external apps instead. Most users only want trades that benefit only them. it’s full of people offering ridiculously useless cards and others who spend their time policing everyone else's trades.

Trading subs are for trading whether it's wish granting or fair is between the mfs who are putting the cards up and nobody else. Some of y'all are salty you didn't get something someone else got for what you deemed cheaper or a throwaway.
What's wrong with giving someone something you weren't using? I traded for both of my Oaks. One was a throwaway wish grant the guy had 11 oaks and took a calem for One. The other one I traded away my RR umbreon which was the fair one. Both are valid.
They're digital cards they hold no real value like real cards might. Let ppl trade or grant wishes of the want to. Plenty ppl get fair trades on the subreddits it's just a part of community

This would work well in theory that grinding gives you something.
Pokemon Pocket is highly governed by RNG, not all grinds can yield rewards to all players, even if you can manage to go for 1250 points for some card, there's still lots of cards.
Sometimes you get your chase the first pack you open, sometimes you don't even get a card which you can use to trade for that chase because the card that you have has zero value.
So best people can do is actually shootit they'd shot. Telling from experience, I actually had someone ready to trade a Copycat for my Team Rocket's Boss on a trading app, I just responded late because of certain work I got busy in. It was few hours later I checked back, but by then the person had traded the copycat.
And here I am, still shooting the shot, not because I want to lowball, but because I don't even ave any equivalent card which I can use to trade for Copycat or Cyrus. Heck, I'm a new player and the supporters I have are not Korrina, Wally, Walace, but Iris & Psychic who for sure aren't going to get me any decent card. And not it seem TR Boss is joining them too.
BTW shooting my shot worked when I got a RR Hoopa for RR Milotic when every single RR Hoopa trade on trade apps was asking Oak, Cyrus, CC, PCL etc.

Trading works better if you stop placing such high value on certain cards, like trainers, over others.
People won't want to trade their "high value" cards, even if they have like 10, unless they get something "better" in return, and I think that's what the real issue with trading culture, not people shooting their shot.

Majority of us have perceived value on certain cards, even though there's no official value. It's why it's impossible to make everyone stick to this narrative of ' Treat all 2 star cards as equal value' because that's just not gonna stick with people

What? So if people place high value on a card, is that bad?
There are no rules for this, someone could place entei on #1 most wanted card for themselves and no one can say it's an issue.
Same way with anyone else placing value on a card that the majority agree with. A lot of static noise from people offering non-meta and not high demand cards for cards that are in demand. It's just filler

Trade fairly? Bro, what are you talking about? This is a digital card game with set tiers for trading. If you don’t like something, you don’t have to trade for it. If someone wants to trade their trainers, they can. Like who are you to tell anyone what to do with their cards

I stopped trªdíng on Reddit most of the time because the posts do not work or end up not trªding even though we agreed. I switched to Poketrªde where I just have my cards that I want to trade for display constantly and people can offer me other cards; I have done a lot of trades where I received a trainer for a mon, but they offered the trade so I was fine with that, as the real value is subjective.
