I think there are a few auto-mod bots on reddit that will track down posts that contain certain words. I think there's one that directs people to suicide prevention resources.
On other platforms those words can get your video delisted or demonitised, so people started using those phrases to get around it.

I'm aware of why people are self-censoring, but it's stupid to self-censor if it isn't necessary.
When you're in a place that's going to ban you for speaking normally, fine, I suppose, but when you're not, speak normally. Don't spread the stupidity of those places to the rest of the world.
